A coffee pop-up that owns its storefront

Design and build of a brand site and order-ahead shop for a Saturday iced-latte pop-up, with payments running through the owner's own Stripe account.

Pine & Palm Coffee: A coffee pop-up that owns its storefront

The challenge

Pine & Palm Coffee opens one morning a week, pouring small-batch iced lattes in Hampstead, New Hampshire. The owner wanted a site as considered as her drinks, and she wanted to run it herself, from the menu down to the Stripe account the money lands in. Saturday mornings needed to stay calm, with every order placed and paid before the first car pulls in.

What we did

We designed and built the site and the ordering flow behind it. Customers pick their lattes, choose a ten-minute pickup window, and check out through Stripe. The curbside details got the most attention. The order form asks for car make and color so the right drink reaches the right window. A reminder email goes out Friday evening, and anyone who orders twice can save the whole routine to an account.

  • Brand site and menu with an editorial feel
  • Order-ahead flow with ten-minute pickup windows
  • Checkout through the owner's own Stripe account
  • Customer accounts, reviews, and a notify list

Why it matters

Most shops this size rent their ordering from a marketplace and give up margin and the customer list for it. Pine & Palm owns the whole stack, from the domain to the Stripe account, and every regular who orders ahead is her customer, not a platform's.
